    1. The adult ducks do that too, in the kiddy pool, and it's so cute! THey love to zoom around. One day we will have a pond for them!

  4. Hadn't those ducks had a swim until now? Usually ducks swim right after hatching.

    1. I've read various things about Muscovy ducklings and swimming. Muscovy ducks don't swim as much as other ducks and apparently have less of an oily coating on their feathers. But they do swim! Anyway, I've read you shouldn't let ducklings swim until they are three weeks old, but I bet in nature they're in the water right away. I let 'em in after about two weeks. The other issue is that I have to make sure they can get in and out of whatever water container I give them. They can drown otherwise. In the past I have let them swim when they were even younger, and used a paint tray so they could just walk up and down the "ramp" to the water. :)

  5. What a delight to see them dive right in and embrace the experience with such joy. But the best part is watching them get out and shake their tail feathers. It's a good day to be a duck!

  7. Oh gosh, that is the cutest video I have seen in a long long time. I was so worried about the one little duckling that wasn't getting in but it looks like he finally did get in. Gosh that was so much fun to watch. It sure put a big smile on my face. Thanks.

There is nothing better than seeing pure joy from animals like this. You did such a great job on this video. I love how you are talking at the end and we can feel your excitement :)

I had no trouble viewing the video in Spain. I guess it's because I'm not a broad.
